Parking Project
From Mike Aho:
Tonight at our Board Meeting I am going to request that our Board put an item on next month’s agenda that will direct staff to work on starting a Public Engagement Process to address the parking and how we will deal with the challenges that are likely to occur once we open the Theater and Park. Attached is the presentation that was given last October to their City Council. Just another piece of our parking challenges.
Interesting article and we should follow their progress to see how this plays out for Carmel.
Thanks to Mike Aho for sharing!
FOVEC Parking Committee Minutes

Attendees: Mike Aho, Keith Walter
Mike met with a fence contractor and was given a rough estimate of $9,000 for the fences and to replace the entrance gate. Their opinion was the existing fence gate would be more expensive to repair than replace. Mike expects to get a written estimate within the next couple of weeks.
Village Parking Before & After Construction
Many people have asked how parking will change in the village once the park construction finishes.
Using the attached drawings from Measure J the answer seems to be better and different. Specifically, while the plan only adds 2 more "standard" parking places, it also adds 5 more ADA places, 6 charging station places, 3 motorcycle spaces, and 2 "compact" spaces.
