To all members of the Fair Oaks Historical Society and those receiving news of the April 30th Ice Cream Social, plus Celebration of the Citizens to Save the Bluff project renovation after 23 years. I cannot believe it has been that long since the project was started.
In my previous Blog #17, I mentioned that it was the 10th anniversary of the project. NOT SO. Sadly, when I looked at some old material, I thought it was 10 years ago. But in talking to Barry Brown, one of the early coordinators of the project, it has been 23 years already!
WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE? AND WHAT A WHOPPER OF A MISTAKE I MADE! 😂 But on the bright side, it's even more special to now be celebrating the completion of final restoration after 23 years. A monumental achievement from start to finish.
It's now questionable as to whether the new information plates will arrive on time for our April 30th event. But the walk to the Memorial will be worth seeing as it is today. Plus, we will be providing tour information to the Founders monument and older buildings. And we'll be providing the ICE CREAM TREATS!!
SEE YOU ALL AT THE EVENT!
