We're spotlighting various merchants in the Fair Oaks Village and giving you a little insight into our history and what we do for the Village. We encourage you to share these local stories and visit with merchants to get to know them firsthand.

We connected with Becky Lund to learn more about her history with FOVEC and her local real estate business, Team Lund.

When did you first become involved with FOVEC?

I became involved with FOVEC in 2007.

What has been the most rewarding part of being involved with FOVEC?

It has been rewarding to witness some of FOVEC's accomplishments.

We are responsible for the Village Way finding signs, the streetscape improvements along Fair Oaks Blvd., and the the beautification of the Winding Way and Fair Oaks Blvd. triangle.

How and why was FOVEC formed?

FOVEC was formed in a grass roots manner. I went door-to-door to Village business owners talking to them about making the Village a more thriving business district.

A group of us met and discussed our vision and from there we got some support from the county, some community buy-in, and more committee members. From there FOVEC became a viable organization.

The progress has been slow and steady, but after almost 12 years, the momentum is picking up.

What is Team Lund Real Estate, how would you describe it to a friend?

Team Lund is a group of realtors specializing in residential real estate in and around Fair Oaks.

Why did you start the business? What do you hope to accomplish?

I started as a Realtor because I love real estate. From there I formed a team in order to offer the best service to my clients. I hope to help as many home buyers or sellers to have an exceptional real estate experience.

What's something you wish people knew about your

business?

The home selling and buying process is complicated and that it is in the buyer or sellers best interest to use the expertise of a good Realtor.

What is a common question you get?

What is the value of my home? What is the best time to buy or sell? Should I price my house high and then potential buyers can make me a lower offer?

What's the biggest compliment you've received?

"You and your team truly show that you care."

Are you involved with or do you support any local nonprofits, community organizations or causes?

I am a member of the Fair Oaks Community Planning Advisory Committee, and I am involved with Susan G. Komen breast cancer awareness.

Why did you choose to be in Fair Oaks Village?

The Village is a diamond in the rough with so much potential to be something special that so many people can enjoy.

Are you a member of the chamber or any other networking

organizations?

I am a member of the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce.

Do you have any upcoming events, specials or new products/services that people should know about?

We do have some lunch and learn meetings planned for the future, but we don't have the exact calendar dates set right now.

As a team, we are there for anyone that needs help with their real estate needs. Those needs can be buying or selling a home or just getting their questions answered about the how to improve their home to get the best return on their investment.
